Hello All 😀

I have had quite a fantastic day! Here’s why:

  • Got another 100 on a paper that I wrote. He said it was some of my best work yet 🙂
  • Turned in my second draft—don’t have to worry about it for a while
  • Went driving again after school—mastered the art of backing up and I feel so comfortable behind the wheel.
  • Had a fabulous workout
  • Grocery Store run
  • Relaxation

Clearly, I had a pretty good day 😀

Everything is happening so fast. I feel like I am growing up so fast. I’ll be fifteen in a matter of three weeks! It’s crazy. I will be behind the wheel of a car in three weeks. Even more crazy! I am growing up, but I’m pretty darn excited about it.

Yesterday I did a wonderful 80 minutes of Dave Farmar yoga. It left me feeling refreshed yet definitely worn out 😉

Today’s workout was quite a workout! My abs are sore. I do about: 25 minutes of ab work, 25 minutes of leg work, and 15-20 minutes of arm work. Then stretching! I have not set foot on a cardio machine (get enough cardio from soccer) and I don’t miss it one bit 😀

Today’s workout:

  • Ab Work:
    • 30 second low plank, 30 second high plank on each side
      • TIMES TWO
      • end with another low plank
    • 1 minute high plank on medicine ball
    • 1 minute plank with exercise balls (one under each hand)
    • side plank dips—20 each side
    • low plank work—inch forward, then back—10 times
      • TIMES TWO
    • 30 bicycles
      • TIMES TWO
    • 2 sets of scissors (10 each)
    • 4 sets of reverse crunches (12-15 reps)
    • leg lowering—2 sets of 10
    • low plank+side plank on each side
    • Captain’s Chair: 3 sets of 10
    • Side Plank with weight (bring it up and down—hard to explain!)
  • Leg Work:
    • Hamstring: 4 sets of 10 (75 lbs.) 1 set of 10 (80 pounds)
    • Hip Adduction: 8 sets of 10 (155 pounds)
    • Hip Abduction: 4 sets of 10 (150 pounds) + 4 sets of 8 (155 pounds)
    • Calves: 4 sets of 10 (175 pounds)
    • Leg Curl: 3 sets of 10 (50-60 pounds)
    • Leg Extension: (one leg at a time) 2 sets of 10 (50 pounds)
    • 100 second wall squat
    • 3 sets of 15: wall squats with exercise ball
  • Arm Work:
    • Row: 2 sets of 10 (50 pounds)
    • Another Row Machine: 2 sets of 10 (40-55 pounds)
    • Assisted Pull-down: 2 sets of 10 (55-60 pounds)
    • Chest Press: 2 sets of 10 (30-35 pounds)
    • Bicep Curl: 2 sets of 10 (35 pounds)
    • Triceps Extension: 2 sets of 10 (40 pounds)
  • Foam Roller+stretching

WOW—that was quite the workout!!

  • 1 container of raspberry chobani
  • Kashi Warm Cinnamon Cereal
  • Kashi Honey Sunshine
  • Raisin Crunch Cereal
  • Annie’s Cocoa and Vanilla Bunnies
  • blueberries
  • coconut
  • raisins
  • Barney Butter

100_0513  100_0516Harvest Wheat flat out topped with: chicken, grilled peppers, lettuce, little bit of cheese, guacamole, different kinds of salsa, and sour cream. SO GOOD! Kept me full for three hours! 100_0519 100_0522Grande Chai Tea Latte. Love in a cup! 100_0524Hooray for reusable grocery bags! It was a quick trip:

  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Pretzels
  • Yogurt (for my dad, not for me—but I spotted the new oikos flavors—SO EXPENSIVE though!)
  • Peanut butter (Organic—Maranatha)
  • Blueberries

Did y’all notice how many blueberries/blueberry things I have been eating? Haha! Antioxidant power!

Verse of the Day: Instead of sharing a verse, I’d like to ask y’all to keep a family at my school in your thoughts/prayers. A child in my mom’s class lost his mother the other night after a two year long battle with lung cancer. Please keep that family in your thoughts/prayers! Thanks 🙂

Well, I have some memorization to work on, then I’m going to grab an apple and read until I fall asleep!

Haha, I never realized you were so young!! You speak like you are much older (:

I have had my learner’s (learner’s permit) for two years and have barely driven at all!! It sucks to be eighteen and not have my actual license!! Congrats on the paper too, by the way.

I’m so happy for you Jess! Sounds like everything is really going your way. Hooray for Dave Farmar! 😉 And loving all the blueberries. I JUST bought a huge container of organic blueberries yesterday… I’m thinking major yogurt messes!

oh my god, that is so incredibly sad about the kid in your mom’s class. my thoughts are with him and his family. WOW good for you about the paper and being comfy driving! sounds like everything is going great hun!

I didnt know you were fifteen only! Haha…it’s so cool you guys get to drive at such a young age in the US. Over here in Singapore the mininum age is 18, and the govt is revising that to 21 in a few years. :S

Great job on the paper! It’s always so sad to hear such stories. I definitely pray for the boy and his family.

ah wow congrats on the fabulous day!! and that’s so exciting that you’ll be getting your license soon — sweet sweet freedom! what I wouldn’t give to be 15 again.. I can’t believe i’m 20. Meh. that’s depressing. Savor every moment, girl!

OMG you get to drive at 15?! Over here the minimum age limit’s 18 so that’s when I got my licence. Still, I’m horrible behind the wheel. I drive too slow, I stall too much – I honestly have no idea how I passed. Lol. But I’m glad you’re doing well and amen to blueberries too!

Awwwwww that is so sad about the kid that lost his mom , I will keep him in my prayers .

MmmmmM LURVE all the blueberries, they are my fav!! I love ’em frozen and then as a ‘base’ for cereal.. soo good 😀
